What are we aiming for?

.

The administration of care is the essence and hallmark of the health professions. Caring without compassion deteriorates the professional and his or her work with the sick person. Compassion fatigue generates disinterest in the work, discomfort and sometimes depression with consequences that affect both the health of the professional and the quality of care provided. The main way to prevent it is to be aware of its existence and to promote intervention programmes that favour support and care.

For this reason, this website is aimed at professionals and students in the healthcare field, and seeks to be a tool that favours their quality of life. We believe that humanised and compassionate care helps to care for health professionals and, by extension, to care for our society. Other objectives are:

  • To share concerns, studies and experiences related to the Humanisation of health care and Bioethics through the News and Experience Forum.
  • To enable self-evaluation on HF and to present the resources that enable its prevention.
  • To publicise the latest studies carried out on the subject of HF and in the field of Humanisation and Bioethics.
